When It Shines,It Shines!

The last couple of days have been exciting. After all the delays with inspectors deciding we need to change this, that, and the other, we passed the final inspections yesterday! Big. Deep. Breath. This means we could open today… we won’t, but we could and that is both exciting and scary.

The best part is that we can set up the inventory for the gift shop. Woo-hoo! The cute stuff we bought months ago have been sitting patiently in boxes. We are excited to set up the displays and make our store look like a real gift shop. While my skills lean towards the organization of the business, my girls’ skills are more artsy. They are looking forward to designing the displays and we hope we have enough room for everything, and at the same time hope we have enough inventory to make it look full. So many conflicting feelings while we create this business!

Another great thing that happened… the signs went up. If you drive by on Arden Way, this building has a ginormous monument sign now displaying a blue background with our super cute logo. You can’t miss it, which is the point.

We will spend the next week inputting inventory, training, cleaning, and checking off the hundreds of details on my to-do list.

I think we may have a soft opening next Thursday. Oh geez…
