Gasp!

It seems there are a million details I need to remember right now, so yesterday, as I entered the store, I greeted the electrician (who is doing the finishing touches like adding power to the front counter and new lights to the retail space), then went immediately to the storage area to put numbers on the mailbox doors.

Later, I came to the retail side of the store and hooked up the ethernet cable to a computer so I could have a training session with the PostalMate people. PostalMate is the shipping software we will use and they are helping me learn the bells and whistles of the program. I was at the store a good hour when my daughter walked in the door. She stopped abruptly and gasped, putting her hands to her mouth in shock.

“What?!” I said while turning around to see why she was so stunned, and then I gasped. I couldn’t believe I didn’t see the ginormous logo decal that had been installed on the wall since I was there the day before. It is spectacular!

Lesson: stop fretting about the details and enjoy what is going on around me. I am too caught up in making sure everything is perfect for opening that I am not enjoying the process. I will start to enjoy this adventure more beginning today!!
