Not only is that date my old friend, Dianne Johnson’s birthday, but it is also the last date to ship your packages to get them there by Christmas for the most economical rates.

We have been very busy this last week and a half, but I know if you’re like me, you will think a week before Christmas is plenty of time to get your gifts out. It is not. I mean, you CAN ship them a week before to get them there by Christmas, but you will pay an arm and a leg for that service. The shipping companies will up their rates after the 16th to profit on the procrastinators like me.

Some of you will wonder why people are still shipping gifts through the post when they can ship via Amazon. A lot of people enjoy the personalization of wrapping the gifts themselves and sending personal cards. I appreciate that sentiment and love it when clients decorate the outside of the boxes with stickers or drawings. As a 50+-aged person, I miss the days when I would get a gift from my grandparents in the mail, wrapped with paper they knew I would enjoy.
