Come Back Taryn!

You may have read About Our Family and seen that we stole Taryn from Seattle when we moved here in 2022. She and Chloe have been close friends since Freshman year in high school. During the pandemic, they spent many hours at my kitchen table attempting on-line school, but I think they perfected their Tik Tok dances more than their school assignments. 😑

Both Taryn and Chloe worked at another independent shipping store, so I was so happy to have Taryn help us open the store, and she helped the opening go smoothly with her knowledge and experience, but she also made the workday so fun.

Many of you have just missed her dancing in the store, and instead found her greeting you with a big smile and a professional, “Welcome in!” You have no idea her silly side. She cracked us all up over her LOVE for Lando Norris the McClaren F1 driver, and one regular customer indulged her while she explained why Lando was the dreamiest of all the drivers. Our customer also likes F1, but he is more into the race car part of the sport. 😂

Taryn helped alert me when Bike Boy would ride by (see previous Bike Boy blog) so I could try and chase him down, and then I would find her laughing so hard over the way I was running. Rude!

She also knew what she was doing when taking care of customers. She is excellent at customer service and so knowledgeable about shipping and all of our services; however, she would try and barter her way out of digital fingerprinting!

Taryn decided to go back to Washington a couple weeks ago to be closer to her family, but we keep hoping she will get there and realize that much rain and gray skies isn’t as fun as our sunnier, warmer days here (although they have been having pretty great weather since she has been there… dammit!).

I have a feeling she will be back with us soon enough, or that may just be me manifesting it. Come back, Taryn! We need your F1 updates and miss you saying, “Slay!” 💓
